§ 6 Cancellation of the accommodation contract
1. Guest cancellation, withdrawal
In the event of a guest's cancellation of the booking, the landlord is entitled to reasonable compensation:
a. For cancellations within 40 days of arrival or in case of no-show, we charge 100% of the total price.
b. Cancellation up to 40 days before arrival is free of charge. The deposit paid will be refunded.
c. In the event of cancellation of the booking, the landlord has the option of claiming a cancellation fee from the guest instead of a specifically calculated compensation.
d. In the event of a guest's trip being cancelled or their departure being premature, the landlord is entitled to 100% of the total rental amount.
2. Landlord's withdrawal
a. The landlord is entitled to refuse the booking within 24 hours (due to the risk of double booking with other booking portals). The landlord is also entitled to cancel the contract within 40 days of arrival.
b. If an agreed advance payment or security deposit is not made within 5 days or as agreed, the landlord is also entitled to withdraw from the contract.
c. Furthermore, the landlord is entitled to withdraw from the contract for good cause, in particular if the holiday apartment is booked under misleading or false pretenses regarding essential facts, e.g., concerning the identity of the guest or the purpose of the stay; the landlord has reasonable grounds to believe that the use of the service may jeopardize the smooth operation of the business, the safety or the reputation of the landlord in the public eye, without this being attributable to the landlord's sphere of control or organization; unauthorized subletting or transfer of the rental agreement has occurred; the landlord becomes aware of circumstances indicating that the guest's financial situation has deteriorated significantly after the conclusion of the contract, in particular if the guest fails to settle outstanding claims of the landlord.
d. In the aforementioned cases of cancellation, the guest has no claim to compensation.
e. The landlord has the right to withdraw from the contract if the guest does not appear by 20:00 on the agreed arrival day, unless a later arrival time has been agreed in writing.
f. If the guest has made a deposit, the room(s) will remain reserved until 12:00 noon of the following day at the latest.
g. Even if the guest does not use the booked apartment, he is obliged to pay the agreed fee to the landlord.
